Akushi has this special way of approaching people and her work in that she sheds light on our true essence in a light, colourful, sometimes funny way. The Drawing & Talking proces, under her guidance, provides a very safe space to connect with yourself and give expression to what wants to come out, in a very non judgemental way. It's playful to work with Akushi. She's a professional in that she knows her 'stuff', that what she's teaching and is presenting it in a beautiful and artistic way. Drawing The Gene Keys ~ The Pearl Sequence 

I took the class, ‘Drawing Your Pearl’, which Akushi Angel facilitated alongside The Gene Keys Pearl Retreat between April-July 2024. The classes with Akushi, enriched my experience in the retreat, adding creativity alongside contemplation on the relevant Gene Key for the month. She is passionate, compassionate and grounded as a facilitator. Participating as a group was interactive, fun and insightful. Akushi guided us with contemplations, meditations, inspired music at times, and questions which were engaging and stimulated sharing and learning/insights from other participants. I enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend Akushi’s Gene Keys with art classes!

Drawing Trauma Healing (DTH)

My overall experience with Drawing Trauma Healing has been wonderful. I felt welcomed, comfortable, and free to work together. The support and guidance provided were invaluable, and I always felt heard and valued.

Initially, I found the idea of drawing challenging, often starting with words to focus myself. Over time, I learned to incorporate symbolic drawings, which helped me express my emotions better. Simple drawings of a house, three people, and soft places made it easier to begin. The sessions helped me manage anxiety, reducing it from a level of five to one by the end.

Each session was an emotional journey, but the positive impact was undeniable. By addressing difficult experiences, I could continue healing and cherish happy memories. The process was heartwarming and joyous, leading to personal growth and self-discovery.

Looking back, I see how the sessions helped me recognize patterns, organize my thoughts, and practice self-kindness. The experience has enhanced my time management, prioritization, and ability to say no when needed. Celebrating small successes has become a part of my routine, and I now enjoy a more positive outlook on life.

The sessions were intriguing and left a lasting impact on my life. I am grateful for the opportunity to reflect on my journey, see the growth, and embrace self-love and joy. -    Thelma
